We have fitted two pairs of phantom speakers in the kitchen and dining area of our extension. The sound quality is really impressive and immersive. We will be looking at sound deadening options as there is a fair bit of sound escaping into the rooms above but fortunately not a critical aspect in our set up.
Hi Richard. Thanks for the review, and great to hear you're enjoying the K-80s. If you haven't fitted fire/acoustic hoods behind the speakers that might be a good idea. Not only to comply with building regulations and fire safety, but they will also help reduce sound leekage to adjacent rooms, as well as further enhance the sound quality of the speakers. There is also a bespoke DALI backbox available for the K-80 which fully encloses the back of the speaker to improve performance and reduce rear sound radiation even further. Delivers better quality sound than what I was expecting. Using it them as ceiling mounted a speakers as part of a 5.1.2 home theatre setup. They are so good am now tempted to get another pair and upgrade to 5.1.4.
Needed advice on a single chassis stereo speaker. The suggested Dali phantom E60 S was promptly delivered, excellently packed and works well.

I was unsure about the sound of ceiling speakers in general so opted for the higher end model. Now when I sit in the bath i can really hear the difference, layered soundscapes are particularly good and the bass and treble are excellent and distinct. No fudging of the sound.
Much louder than I expected too, rarely have above 20-30%. Would recommend buying the master / slave unit. I only bought one and regret it.
Installation and configuration was relatively simple too with my iOS device picking up the speaker quite quickly after I configured it using the Lithe Audio App.
Sounds great - now we’ve got some furniture in and it’s not a hollow shell. The fan on the cooker hood is no match for these speakers. Powerful and and rich.

The additional bass this adds to my Arc is pretty subtle (which is what I wanted) but the price (£599) was great value relative to other sellers. I ordered Sunday night and it arrived Tuesday morning, can’t argue with that! Thank you
