The perfect balance between portability and quality. The JBL Flip 5 offers a light waterproof structure that doesn't compromise on sound making it a jack of all traits.

For a small speaker the sound quality is surprisingly good. Most songs sound clear and the bass is enough to get down to! It also boasts a IPX7 Rating making is completely waterproof. This allows the speaker to sound good and handle the elements.

The speaker is impressibly loud considering its shape and size. The battery life states 12 hours but has been found to smash that time with some tests finding the speaker to last for 27 hours which is astonishing.


Our Verdict:

A perfect speaker for those looking to take a speaker to the beach, long walks or a small gathering of friends. Rugged and portable, a great speaker for those who like to be out and about. All this at a very reasonable price.





Excellent sound and quality, however a premium price. Bang & Olufsen charge a hefty price on this small portable speaker. Despite this the speaker offers extraordinary sound quality and a stunning design, synonymous with Bang & Olufsen.

The speaker is  gorgeous. The design is sleek and tidy. It also comes with an IP67 Rating meaning it is dust and waterproof. The lightweight design boosts portability and the leather strap allow for interesting placement of the speaker.

The sound for the size of the speaker is remarkable. It delivers clear sound and powerful bass. 

Dynamically it’s really good, capable with the quiet moments and explosive when it needs to be, with a musical tone and character that’s well-suited to a wide range of genres. It can be bombastic without over-egging it, full of energy but still poised and creates a big sound but is also rather intimate. It’s a wonderfully expressive speaker.

Our Verdict:

A classy looking and classy sounding portable speaker. Bang & Olufsen design shines through on this one delivering an incredible sound in a small package. The one downside could be the price, however you're paying for what you get.
